Product Profile
Product Name MAFF antibody
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Product description Rabbit Polyclonal antibody to MAFF (v-maf musculoaponeurotic fibrosarcoma oncogene homolog F (avian))The protein encoded by this gene is a basic leucine zipper (bZIP) transcription factor that lacks a transactivation domain. It is known to bind the US-2 DNA element in the promoter of the oxytocin receptor (OTR) gene and most likely heterodimerizes with other leucine zipper-containing proteins to enhance expression of the OTR gene during term pregnancy. The encoded protein can also form homodimers, and since it lacks a transactivation domain, the homodimer may act as a repressor of transcription. This gene may also be involved in the cellular stress response. Multiple transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq]

Application

Application

MAFF antibody detects MAFF protein at cytoplasm and nucleus on human breast carcinoma by immunohistochemical analysis. Sample: Paraffin-embedded human breast carcinoma. MAFF antibody diluted at 1:250.

Application

MAFF antibody detects MAFF protein by Western blot analysis. A. 30 µg Huh7 whole cell lysate/extract B. 30 µg HepG2 whole cell lysate/extract 12 % SDS-PAGE MAFF antibody dilution: 1:2000

Application

MAFF antibody detects MAFF protein by western blot analysis. Non-transfected (-) and MAFF -transfected (+, ) 293T whole cell extracts (30 μg) were separated by 12% SDS-PAGE, and the membrane was blotted with MAFF antibody diluted by 1:20000.
Application Notes *Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the researcher.
