Product Profile
Product Name Mu Opioid receptor antibody
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Product description Rabbit polyclonal to Mu Opioid ReceptorMost actions of exogenous opioids, such as morphine, are mediated through the μ-opioid receptor, including analgesia, tolerance and reward. In general, opioids modulate numerous central and peripheral processes including pain perception, neuroendocrine secretion and the immune response. The opioid signal is transduced from receptors through G proteins to various different effectors. Subsequent to G protein activation, several effectors are known to orchestrate the opioid signal. For example, activation of opioid receptors increases phosphatidylinositol turnover, activates K+ channels and reduces adenylyl cyclase and Ca++ channel activities.
Immunogen Synthetic peptide (Human) (Internal sequence, ARIRQNTREHPSTAC).

Application

Application

- Extracts of rat brain lysates were resolved by SDS-PAGE on a 10% Tris-glycine gel and transferred to PVDF. The membrane was blocked with a 5% BSA-TBST buffer for one hour at room temperature and incubated with the µ-opioid receptor antibody for two hours at room temperature in a 1% BSA-TBST buffer. After washing, the membrane was incubated with goat F(ab’)2 anti-rabbit IgG HRP conjugate.
Positive Control brain, spinal cord (lysate or tissue)
Application Notes WB: 1/1000. Predicted molecular weight: ~45 kDa. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.:
