Mouse monoclonal [0.N.389] to MVP - BSA and Azide freeMajor vault protein (MVP) is identical to lung resistance related protein (LRP). Its shape is reminiscent of the nucleopore central plug. Treatment of cells with estradiol increases the amount of MVP in nuclear extract. The hormone-dependent interaction of vaults with ER is prevented in vitro by sodium molybdate. Antibodies to progesterone and glucocortoid receptors are also able to co-immunoprecipitate the MVP. Reportedly, the lung resistance related protein (LRP) is identical to human MVP. LRP is overexpressed in many neoplastic tissues and cells lines indicating a poor response to chemotherapy.

Tested Applications
FACSGSAIHC-PIPWB
FACS: Use at an assay dependent dilution. GSA: Use at an assay dependent dilution. IHC-P: Use at a concentration of 1 - 2 μg/ml for 30 min at RT (staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min). IP: Use 2μg/mg protein lysate (Use Protein G). WB: Use at a concentration of 1 - 2 μg/ml for 2 hrs at RT. Predicted molecular weight: 110 kDa. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.:
