Product Profile
Product Name p38 MAPK (phospho Thr180/Tyr182) antibody
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Product description Rabbit polyclonal antibody to p38 MAPK (phospho Thr180/Tyr182)p38 is a 38 kDa Stress Activated Protein Kinase/Map Kinase (SAPK/MAPK) that is fully activated by dual phosphorylation on threonine 180 and tyrosine 182, within the activation loop. The JNK and p38 pathways function to modulate cell-cycle, apoptotic and transcriptional responses to stress. This antibody has been shown to recognize the endogenous, active forms of p38 alpha, beta and gamma/ERK6.
Immunogen Synthetic peptide (Human) derived from the region of human p38 that contains threonine 180 and tyrosine 182. This region is conserved among many species including human, rat, mouse, dog, and carp.
Modification p-Thr180/Tyr182

Application

Application

WB analysis of lysates from HEK293 cells treated with UV irradiation using p38 MAPK (phospho Thr180/Tyr182) antibody pre-incubated with (1) the peptide immunogen, (2) a generic phosphothreonine-containing peptide, (3) a generic phosphotyrosine-containing peptide, (4) the non-phosphorylated peptide corresponding to the phosphopeptide, (5) no peptide, (6) the phosphopeptide derived from the corresponding region of JNK1&2 and (7) the phosphopeptide derived from the corresponding region of ERK1&2.
Positive Control HEK 293 cells +/- UV irradiation treatment and PC12 cells +/- Sorbitol
