Rabbit Polyclonal antibody to PKM2Glycolytic enzyme that catalyzes the transfer of a phosphoryl group from phosphoenolpyruvate (PEP) to ADP, generating ATP. Stimulates POU5F1-mediated transcriptional activation. Plays a general role in caspase independent cell death of tumor cells. The ratio betwween the highly active tetrameric form and nearly inactive dimeric form determines whether glucose carbons are channeled to biosynthetic processes or used for glycolytic ATP production. The transition between the 2 forms contributes to the control of glycolysis and is important for tumor cell proliferation and survival.

Concentration
1mg/ml (Please refer to the vial label for the specific concentration)
This antibody was raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to a region within aa 405-409 of human PKM2 (UniProt #P14618-1). Based on a BLAST result, it is specific for PKM2 and would not cross with PKM1.
Application
Application
Western blot analysis of extracts from HepG2 and 293 cells using PKM1/2 Antibody .
Application
ICC/IF analysis of methanol-fixed MEF cells using PKM2 antibody (red) and DAPI (blue).
