Product Profile
Product Name Progesterone Receptor (phospho Ser190) antibody
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Product description Mouse monoclonal antibody [1154] to Ser190-phosphorylated Progesterone ReceptorThis gene encodes a member of the steroid receptor superfamily. The encoded protein mediates the physiological effects of progesterone, which plays a central role in reproductive events associated with the establishment and maintenance of pregnancy. This gene uses two distinct promotors and translation start sites in the first exon to produce two isoforms, A and B. The two isoforms are identical except for the additional 165 amino acids found in the N-terminus of isoform B and mediate their own response genes and physiologic effects with little overlap. Application

Application

Immunofluorescent analysis of Ser190-phosphorylated Progesterone Receptor in untreated T47D cells (left panel) or stimulated cells with 100 nM of Progesterone (right panel). Formalin-fixed cells were permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100 in TBS for 5-10 minutes at room temperature and blocked with 3% BSA-PBS for 30 minutes at room temperature. Cells were probed with Progesterone Receptor (phospho Ser190) antibody [1154] at a dilution of 1:50 and incubated overnight in a humidified chamber. Cells were washed with PBST and incubated with a proper secondary antibody. F-actin (red) was stained with a fluorescent phalloidin and nuclei (blue) were stained with DAPI. Images were taken at a 60X magnification.
