B3GNT7 belongs to the glycosyltransferase 31 family. It may be involved in keratane sulfate biosynthesis. B3GNT7 transfers N-acetylgalactosamine on to keratan sulfate-related glycans. It may play a role in preventing cells from migrating out of the original tissues and invading surrounding tissues.1) Kitayama, K., (2007) J. Biol. Chem. 282 (41), 30085-30096.
