Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human brain tissue using CK-1alpha (Phospho-Tyr294) antibody (left) or the same antibody preincubated with blocking peptide (right).
KC1A, CKI-alpha, CSNK1A1, alpha isoform, Casein kinase I
Product description
Casein kinases are operationally defined by their preferential utilization of acidic proteins such as caseins as substrates. It can phosphorylate a large number of proteins. Participates in Wnt signaling. Phosphorylates CTNNB1 at 'Ser-45'. May play a role in segregating chromosomes during mitosis.1) Tapia C., FEBS Lett. 349:307-312(1994).
