Product Profile
Product Name FARSA Antibody
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Antigen Alias Phenylalanine--tRNA ligase alpha subunit, CML33, Phenylalanyl-tRNA synthetase alpha subunit, PheRS, FARSA, FARS, FARSL, FARSLA
Product description Aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases are a class of enzymes that charge tRNAs with their cognate amino acids. FARSA is similar to the catalytic subunit of prokaryotic and Saccharomyces cerevisiae phenylalanyl-tRNA synthetases (PheRS). This protein has been shown to be expressed in a tumor-selective and cell cycle stage- and differentiation-dependent manner, the first member of the tRNA synthetase gene family shown to exhibit this type of regulated expression.1) Gevaert,K., Nat. Biotechnol. 21 (5), 566-569 (2003)
Immunogen This FARSA antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 54-83 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human FARSA.
