The N-terminal methionine excision pathway is an essential
process in which the N-terminal methionine is removed from many
proteins, thus facilitating subsequent protein modification. In
mitochondria, enzymes that catalyze this reaction are celled
methionine aminopeptidases (MetAps, or MAPs; EC 3.4.11.18) (Serero
et al., 2003 [PubMed 14532271]).1) Bailey, S.D., et al. Diabetes Care 33(10):2250-2253(2010)
Immunogen
This MAP1D antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 306-334 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human MAP1D.
Western blot analysis in mouse spleen cell line lysates (35ug/lane).

For WB starting dilution is: 1:1000
