Homeobox protein HMX3, Homeobox protein H6 family member 3, Homeobox protein Nkx-51, Hmx3, Nkx-51, Nkx5-1
Product description
Hmx3 is a transcription factor involved in specification of neuronal cell types and which is required for inner ear and hypothalamus development. This protein binds to the 5'-CAAGTG-3' core sequence. It controls semicircular canal formation in the inner ear and is also required for hypothalamic/pituitary axis of the CNS.1) Mennerich D., Hoffmann S.,Biol. Chem. 380:1041-1048(1999)
