NANOS1 contains 1 nanos-type zinc finger and belongs to the nanos family. It may regulate translation of specific mRNAs by forming a complex with PUM2 that associates with the 3' untranslated regions (UTRs) of mRNA targets.1) Strumane, K., (2006) Cancer Res. 66 (20), 10007-10015.
