PDGFR (Platelet Derived Growth Factor Receptor) exhibits two different isoforms, alpha and beta coded by two different genes. PDGF A receptors are expressed in oligodendrocyte progenitor cells and PDGF B receptors are expressed on neurons. This antibody is specific for PDGFR, alpha and does not react with PDGFR, beta. Western Blot (Ab 1 μg/mL for 2 hours at RT), Immunohistology (Formalin/paraffin) (Ab at 5 μg/mL for 45 min at RT) Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min. Positive Control Ovarian carcinoma Cellular Localization Cytoplasmic and cell membrane Recognizes PDGFR, alpha. Species Crossreactivity: Human and Mouse.
