GPI mannosyltransferase 2, 241-, GPI mannosyltransferase II, GPI-MT-II, Phosphatidylinositol-glycan biosynthesis class V protein, PIG-V, PIGV
Product description
Glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) is a complex glycolipid
that anchors many proteins to the cell surface. The biosynthetic
pathway of GPI is mediated by sequential addition of sugars and
other components to phosphatidylinositol. PIGV adds the second
mannose to the GPI core (Kang et al., 2005 [PubMed
15623507]).1) Krawitz, P.M., et al. Nat. Genet. 42(10):827-829(2010)
Immunogen
This PIGV antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 343-371 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human PIGV.
Western blot analysis in WiDr cell line lysates (35ug/lane).
