PIR is a member of the cupin superfamily. The protein is an Fe (II)-containing nuclear protein expressed in all tissues of the body and concentrated within dot-like subnuclear structures. Interactions with nuclear factor I/CCAAT box transcription factor as well as B cell lymphoma 3-encoded oncoprotein suggest the protein may act as a transcriptional cofactor and be involved in the regulation of DNA transcription and replication. This gene encodes a member of the cupin superfamily. Storage Instructions
For short periods of storage (days) store at 4˚C. For longer periods of storage, store PIR antibody at -20˚C. As with any antibody avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.
Storage Buffer
Antibody is lyophilized in PBS buffer with 2% sucrose. Add 50 μL of distilled water. Final antibody concentration is 1 mg/mL.
