Product Profile
Product Name TASP1 Antibody
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Antigen Alias Threonine aspartase 1, Taspase-1, 3425-, Threonine aspartase subunit alpha, Threonine aspartase subunit beta, TASP1, C20orf13
Product description TASP1 is an endopeptidase that cleaves specific substrates following aspartate residues. The encoded protein undergoes posttranslational autoproteolytic processing to generate alpha and beta subunits, which reassemble into the active alpha2-beta2 heterotetramer. It is required to cleave MLL, a protein required for the maintenance of HOX gene expression, and TFIIA, a basal transcription factor.1) Hsieh, J.J., et al., Cell 115(3):293-303 (2003).
Immunogen This TASP1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 364-395 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human TASP1.
