ZNF216 (ZFAND5) is a potent inhibitory factor for osteoclast differentiation and the mechanism is unlikely due to direct attenuation of the NF-kappa B pathway. It also has redundant and distinct roles in regulating apoptosis.1) Hishiya, A., (2005) J. Recept. Signal Transduct. Res. 25 (3), 199-216.
