Product Profile
Product Name MCT4/SLC16A3
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Antigen Alias Monocarboxylate transporter 4 Slc16a3 Mct3 Mct4 MCT-4 Monocarboxylate transporter 3 solute carrier family 16 member 3 SLC16A3 MOT4_HUMAN.
Product description Proton-linked monocarboxylate transporter. Catalyzes the rapid transport across the plasma membrane of many monocarboxylates such as lactate, pyruvate, branched-chain oxo acids derived from leucine, valine and isoleucine, and the ketone bodies acetoacetate, beta-hydroxybutyrate and acetate. Lactic acid and pyruvate transport across plasma membranes is catalyzed by members of the proton-linked monocarboxylate transporter (MCT) family, which has been designated solute carrier family-16. Each MCT appears to have slightly different substrate and inhibitor specificities and transport kinetics, which are related to the metabolic requirements of the tissues in which it is found. The MCTs, which include MCT1 and MCT2, are characterized by 12 predicted transmembrane domains

Application

Application

Fig1: Tissue/cell: rat brain tissue; 4% Paraformaldehyde-fixed and paraffin-embedded; Antigen retrieval: citrate buffer ( 0.01M, pH 6.0 ), Boiling bathing for 15min; Block endogenous peroxidase by 3% Hydrogen peroxide for 30min; Blocking buffer (normal goat serum,C-0005) at 37℃ for 20 min; Incubation: Anti-MCT4 Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (ER1912-89) 1:200, overnight at 4℃, followed by conjugation to the secondary antibody (SP-0023) and DAB (C-0010) staining.

Application

Fig2: Paraformaldehyde-fixed, paraffin embedded (human brain glioma); Antigen retrieval by boiling in sodium citrate buffer (pH6.0) for 15min; Block endogenous peroxidase by 3% hydrogen peroxide for 20 minutes; Blocking buffer (normal goat serum) at 37℃ for 30min; Antibody incubation with (MCT4) Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (ER1912-89) at 1:400 overnight at 4℃, followed by operating according to SP Kit (Rabbit) (sp-0023) instructionsand DAB staining.
