Product Profile
Product Name StAR
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Antigen Alias StARD1 Cholesterol trafficker Luteinizing hormone induced protein Mitochondrial steroid acute regulatory protein StAR related lipid transfer (START) domain containing 1 StARD1 START domain containing protein 1 Steroidogenic Acute Regulatory Protein Steroidogenic acute regulatory protein mitochondrial STAR_HUMAN.
Product description The protein encoded by this gene plays a key role in the acute regulation of steroid hormone synthesis by enhancing the conversion of cholesterol into pregnenolone. This protein permits the cleavage of cholesterol into pregnenolone by mediating the transport of cholesterol from the outer mitochondrial membrane to the inner mitochondrial membrane. Mutations in this gene are a cause of congenital lipoid adrenal hyperplasia (CLAH), also called lipoid CAH. A pseudogene of this gene is located on chromosome 13.

Application

Fig1: Blank control (blue line): Hela (fixed with 80% methanol (5 min at -20℃) and then permeabilized with 0.1% PBS-Tween for 20 min at room temperature). Primary Antibody (green line): Rabbit Anti-StAR antibody (ER1917-23),Dilution: 3μg /10^6 cells; Isotype Control Antibody (orange line): Rabbit IgG . Secondary Antibody (white blue line): Goat anti-rabbit IgG-FITC,Dilution: 1μg /test.

Application

Fig2: Sample: Ovary (Mouse) Lysate at 30 ug Brain (Mouse) Lysate at 30 ug Primary: Anti-STAR/STARD1(ER1917-23) at 1:200 dilution; Secondary: HRP conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(bs-0295G-HRP) at 1: 3000 dilution; Predicted band size : 32kD Observed band size : 32kD

Application

Fig3: Paraformaldehyde-fixed, paraffin embedded (Rat testis); Antigen retrieval by microwave in sodium citrate buffer (pH6.0) ; Block endogenous peroxidase by 3% hydrogen peroxide for 30 minutes; Blocking buffer (3% BSA) at RT for 30min; Antibody incubation with (StAR) Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (ER1917-23) at 1:400 overnight at 4℃, followed by conjugation to the secondary antibody (labeled with HRP)and DAB staining.
