Target Information
Gene Symbol NOS3
Gene Synonyms eNOS
ECNOS
Gene Full Name nitric oxide synthase 3
Gene Summary Nitric oxide is a reactive free radical which acts as a biologic mediator in several processes, including neurotransmission and antimicrobial and antitumoral activities. Nitric oxide is synthesized from L-arginine by nitric oxide synthases. Variations in this gene are associated with susceptibility to coronary spasm. Alternative splicing and the use of alternative promoters results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2016]
Molecular Weight(MW) 133kDa
Cellular Localization Cell membrane. Membrane>Caveola. Cytoplasm>Cytoskeleton. Golgi apparatus.
Application

WB

Western blot analysis of extracts from various samples, using eNOS Mouse Monoclonal Antibody. Lane 1: Hepg2 cells, blocked with antigen-specific peptides. Lane 2: Hepg2 cells. Lane 3: A549 cells. Lane 4: Huvec cells. Lane 5: Hela cells.

WB

Western blot analysis of extracts from various samples, using eNOS Mouse Monoclonal Antibody. Lane 1: Rat lung, blocked with antigen-specific peptides. Lane 2: Rat lung. Lane 3: Rat liver. Lane 4: Mouse liver. Lane 5: Mouse lung.

IHC

eNOS Mouse Monoclonal Antibody at 1/100 staining rat brain tissue by IHC-P. The sample was formaldehyde fixed and a heat mediated antigen retrieval step in citrate buffer was performed. The sample was then blocked and incubated with the primary antibody at 4°C overnight. An HRP conjugated anti-mouse antibody was used as the secondary antibody.
