L-PLASTIN
Gene Full Name lymphocyte cytosolic protein 1
Gene Summary Plastins are a family of actin-binding proteins that are conserved throughout eukaryote evolution and expressed in most tissues of higher eukaryotes. In humans, two ubiquitous plastin isoforms (L and T) have been identified. Plastin 1 (otherwise known as Fimbrin) is a third distinct plastin isoform which is specifically expressed at high levels in the small intestine. The L isoform is expressed only in hemopoietic cell lineages, while the T isoform has been found in all other normal cells of solid tissues that have replicative potential (fibroblasts, endothelial cells, epithelial cells, melanocytes, etc.). However, L-plastin has been found in many types of malignant human cells of non-hemopoietic origin suggesting that its expression is induced accompanying tumorigenesis in solid tissues. Application

WB

Western blot analysis of L-Plastin/LCP1 using anti-L-Plastin/LCP1 antibody. The sample well of each lane was loaded with 30 ug of sample under reducing conditions. Lane 1: human HL-60 whole cell lysates, Lane 2: human THP-1 whole cell lysates, Lane 3: human Hela whole cell lysates, Lane 4: rat spleen tissue lysates, Lane 5: mouse spleen tissue lysates, Lane 6: mouse RAW264.7 whole cell lysates. After electrophoresis, proteins were transferred to a membrane. Then the membrane was incubated with rabbit anti-L-Plastin/LCP1 antigen affinity purified polyclonal antibody at a dilution of 1:1000 and probed with a goat anti-rabbit IgG-HRP secondary antibody. The signal is developed using ECL Plus Western Blotting Substrate.

IHC

IHC analysis of L-Plastin/LCP1 using anti-L-Plastin/LCP1 antibody. L-Plastin/LCP1 was detected in a paraffin-embedded section of human B lymphocytic tumor tissue. Biotinylated goat anti-rabbit IgG was used as secondary antibody. The tissue section was incubated with rabbit anti-L-Plastin/LCP1 Antibody at a dilution of 1:200 and developed using Strepavidin-Biotin-Complex (SABC) with DAB as the chromogen.

FC

Flow Cytometry analysis of U2OS cells using anti-LCP1 antibody.Overlay histogram showing U2OS cells stained with anti-LCP1 antibody (Blue line).Fluoro®488 conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG was used as secondary antibody Isotype control antibody (Green line) was rabbit IgG (1:100) used under the same conditions. Unlabelled sample (Red line) was also used as a control.

ICC/IF

ICC/IF analysis of L-Plastin/LCP1 using anti-L-Plastin/LCP1 antibody. L-Plastin/LCP1 was detected in an immunocytochemical section of A431 cells. The section was incubated with rabbit anti-L-Plastin/LCP1 Antibody at a dilution of 1:100. Fluoro488 Conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (Green) was used as secondary antibody. The section was counterstained with DAPI (Blue).
