LRP1 A2MR APR Prolow-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 1 Alpha-2-macroglobulin receptor Apolipoprotein E receptor CD_antigen=CD91 Low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 1 85 kDa subunit Low-density lipoprotein receptor-related
Molecular Weight(MW)
504606 Da
Function
Endocytic receptor involved in endocytosis and in phagocytosis of apoptotic cells. Required for early embryonic development. Involved in cellular lipid homeostasis. Involved in the plasma clearance of chylomicron remnants and activated LRPAP1 (alpha 2-macroglobulin), as well as the local metabolism of complexes between plasminogen activators and their endogenous inhibitors. May modulate cellular events, such as APP metabolism, kinase-dependent intracellular signaling, neuronal calcium signaling as well as neurotransmission
Tissue Specificity
Most abundant in liver, brain and lung.
Cellular Localization
Low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 1 85 kDa subunit: Cell membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein. Membrane, coated pit Low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 1 intracellular domain: Cytoplasm. Nucleus. Note=After cleavage, the intracellular domain (LRPICD) is detected both in the cytoplasm and in the nucleus

Storage Instructions
For short-term storage, store at 4° C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20ºC or below. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Storage Buffer
Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is first purified by protein G affinity chromatography. Then, the antibody fraction is peptide affinity purified in a 2-step procedure with control and phosphorylated peptides. The phospho-specific antibody is eluted with high and low pH buffers and neutralized immediately, followed by dialysis against PBS.
