Product Profile
Product Name Adiponectin antibody [19F1]
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Product description Mouse monoclonal antibody [19F1] to AdiponectinThis gene is expressed in adipose tissue exclusively. It encodes a protein with similarity to collagens X and VIII and complement factor C1q. The encoded protein circulates in the plasma and is involved with metabolic and hormonal processes. Mutations in this gene are associated with adiponectin deficiency. Multiple alternatively spliced variants, encoding the same protein, have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2010]

Application

Application

Western blot detection of adiponectin in differentiated 3T3-L1 adipocytes.

Application

Immunohistochemistry was performed on cancer biopsies of deparaffinized human colon carcinoma tissue. To expose target proteins, heat induced antigen retrieval was performed using 10mM sodium citrate (pH6.0) buffer, microwaved for 8-15 minutes. Following antigen retrieval tissues were blocked in 3% BSA-PBS for 30 minutes at room temperature. Tissues were then probed at a dilution of 1:100 with or without Adiponectin antibody [19F1] overnight at 4°C in a humidified chamber. Tissues were washed extensively with PBST and endogenous peroxidase activity was quenched with a peroxidase suppressor. Detection was performed using a biotin-conjugated secondary antibody and SA-HRP, followed by colorimetric detection using DAB. Tissues were counterstained with hematoxylin and prepped for mounting.
Application Notes ICC/IF: 2-4 ug/ml
