Mouse monoclonal [FE9] to APCThis gene encodes a tumor suppressor protein that includes among its many intracellular functions one of nuclear export. Defects in this gene cause familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP), an autosomal dominant pre-malignant disease that usually progresses to malignancy. Disease-associated mutations tend to be clustered in a small region designated the mutation cluster region (MCR) and result in a truncated protein product.
Immunogen
Immunogen used was a synthetic peptide corresponding to the N-terminal 35 amino acid residues of APC.

WB
For WB: Use at a concentration of 1 - 1.5μg/ml. Predicted molecular weight: 312 kDa. (SW480 cells, which contain a mutation at codon 1338 of APC and express atruncated APC protein of 147 kDa). Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the researcher.
