Product Profile
Product Name ATRX antibody
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Product description Mouse Monoclonal antibody [GT4212] to ATRX (alpha thalassemia/mental retardation syndrome X-linked (RAD54 homolog, S. cerevisiae))The protein encoded by this gene contains an ATPase/helicase domain, and thus it belongs to the SWI/SNF family of chromatin remodeling proteins. The mutations of this gene are associated with an X-linked mental retardation (XLMR) syndrome most often accompanied by alpha-thalassemia (ATRX) syndrome. These mutations have been shown to cause diverse changes in the pattern of DNA methylation, which may provide a link between chromatin remodeling, DNA methylation, and gene expression in developmental processes. This protein is found to undergo cell cycle-dependent phosphorylation, which regulates its nuclear matrix and chromatin association, and suggests its involvement in the gene regulation at interphase and chromosomal segregation in mitosis. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported. [provided by RefSeq]

Application

Application

Non-transfected (–) and transfected (+) 293T whole cell extracts (30 µg) were separated by 5% SDS-PAGE, and the membrane was blotted with ATRX antibody [GT4212] diluted at 1:500.

Application

ATRX antibody [GT4212] detects ATRX protein at nucleus by immunofluorescent analysis. Sample: HeLa cells were fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde at RT for 15 min. Green: ATRX protein stained by ATRX antibody [GT4212] diluted at 1:500. Blue: Hoechst 33342 staining.

Application

ATRX antibody [GT4212] detects ATRX protein by Western blot analysis. A. 30 μg Neuro2A whole cell lysate/extract B. 30 μg C8D30 whole cell lysate/extract C. 30 μg BCL-1 whole cell lysate/extract 5 % SDS-PAGE ATRX antibody [GT4212] dilution: 1:500
