This antibody has been pretitered and quality controlled to work allon formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded as well as acetone fixed cryostat tissue sections. No further titration is required. We suggest an incubation period of 30-60 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the user. Proteolytic digestion of tissue sections is required prior to immunostaining.:
Species Reactivity
Human
Concentration

Target Information
Target
basic Cytokeratin
Tissue Specificity
This antibody recognizes most of the basic (Type II) keratins. It recognizes keratin polypeptides of 58 and 65 to 67 kD. In keratinized epidermis, 58 kD keratin is present in the basal and suprabasal layers, while 65 to 67 kD keratin is present in the cells above the basal layers. This antibody can be used to stain different cell layers in an epithelial tissue and various neoplasms of epithelial origin.
Light Chain Type
kappa
