Product Profile
Product Name BUB1B antibody [5D9]
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Product description Mouse monoclonal antibody [5D9] to BUB1BEssential component of the mitotic checkpoint. Required for normal mitosis progression. The mitotic checkpoint delays anaphase until all chromosomes are properly attached to the mitotic spindle. One of its checkpoint functions is to inhibit the activity of the anaphase-promoting complex/cyclosome (APC/C) by blocking the binding of CDC20 to APC/C, independently of its kinase activity. The other is to monitor kinetochore activities that depend on the kinetochore motor CENPE. Required for kinetochore localization of CENPE. Negatively regulates PLK1 activity in interphase cells and suppresses centrosome amplification. Also implicated in triggering apoptosis in polyploid cells that exit aberrantly from mitotic arrest. May play a role for tumor suppression.

Gene Synonyms Bub1A, BUB1beta, BUB1B, hBUBR1, MAD3L, SSK1, BUBR1
Target BUB1B
Tissue Specificity is specific for human BUB1B.
Cellular Localization Cytoplasmic in interphase cells. Associates with the kinetochores in early prophase. Kinetochore localization requires BUB1, PLK1 and CASC5.
Application

Application

Immunohistochemical staining of paraffin-embedded Adenocarcinoma of breast tissue using anti-BUB1B mouse monoclonal antibody. ( Dilution 1:50)

Application

Western blot analysis of extracts (35ug) from 9 different cell lines by using anti-BUB1B monoclonal antibody.

Application

HEK293T cells were transfected with the pCMV6-ENTRY control (Left lane) or pCMV6-ENTRY BUB1B (Right lane) cDNA for 48 hrs and lysed. Equivalent amounts of cell lysates (5 ug per lane) were separated by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with anti-BUB1B.

Application

Immunohistochemical staining of paraffin-embedded Carcinoma of kidney tissue using anti-BUB1Bmouse monoclonal antibody. ( Dilution 1:50)

Application

Immunohistochemical staining of paraffin-embedded Carcinoma of liver tissue using anti-BUB1Bmouse monoclonal antibody. ( Dilution 1:50)
