Product Profile
Product Name Cathepsin K antibody, Internal
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Product description Rabbit polyclonal to CTSK (Internal R222)The protein encoded by this gene is a lysosomal cysteine proteinase involved in bone remodeling and resorption. This protein, which is a member of the peptidase C1 protein family, is predominantly expressed in osteoclasts. However, the encoded protein is also expressed in a significant fraction of human breast cancers, where it could contribute to tumor invasiveness. Mutations in this gene are the cause of pycnodysostosis, an autosomal recessive disease characterized by osteosclerosis and short stature. This gene may be subject to RNA editing. [provided by RefSeq]
Immunogen KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 215~244 amino acids from the Center region of human CTSK.

Application

Application

Western blot analysis of CTSK (arrow) using rabbit polyclonal CTSK Antibody (Center R222) . 293 cell lysates (2 ug/lane) either nontransfected (Lane 1) or transiently transfected with the CTSK gene (Lane 2) .

Application

Flow cytometric analysis of ZR-75-1 cells using CTSK Antibody (Center R222)(bottom histogram) compared to a negative control cell (top histogram). FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.

Application

Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human breast carcinoma with CTSK Antibody , which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.
