| Tissue Specificity | This antibody reacts with the CD1a antigen which is found on human thymocytes and certain thymomas, on Langerhans cells in the skin, dermal dendritic cells and brain astrocytes. The antigen is a membrane glycoprotein (49 kDa) which is expressed non-covalently with beta-2-microglobulin and is closely similar to human thymocyte antigen 1.
