Product Profile
Product Name CXCL8 / IL8 antibody [I8-S2]
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Product description Mouse monoclonal [I8-S2] to IL8IL8, formerly called monocyte derived neutrophil chemotactic factor, belongs to the chemokine alpha family. Human endothelial IL8 is an 8.9 kDa protein containing 77 amino acid residues. IL8 exhibits chemotactic activity in vitro for T cells, basophils and neutrophils and promotes degranulation.
Immunogen Purified recombinant IL8 (Human).
Key Feature
Clonality Monoclonal
Isotype IgG2
Clone Number I8-S2
Host Species Mouse
Tested Applications ELISA,Neut,WB
For ELISA: Use at an assay dependent dilution. Can be used as a capture antibody in an ELISA pair with GTX18656 (detection). For Neut: Use at an assay dependent dilution. For WB: Use at a concentration of 0.02 - 0.1 μg/ml. Predicted molecular weight: 11 kDa. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
Species Reactivity Human
Concentration 1mg/ml (Please refer to the vial label for the specific concentration)
Purification Protein G
Target Information
Gene Synonyms Inteleukin8, Inteleukin 8, 310C, NAP1, T cell chemotactic factor, CXC chemokine ligand 8, Monocyte derived neutrophil chemotactic factor, CXCL8, Granulocyte chemotactic protein 1, Neutrophil activating factor, CXC chemokine ligand8, MONAP, GCP1, Granulocyt
Target IL8
Tissue Specificity This antibody recognises both recombinant and native IL8. This antibody does not cross react with Monocyte Chemotactic Activating Factor (MCAF) or RANTES (Regulated on Activation, Normal T-cell Expressed, and Secreted).
Cellular Localization Secreted
Light Chain Type kappa
Application

Application

Western blot analysis of Human IL-8 using clone I8-S2. The antibody, when used at concentration of 0.02-0.1 ug/mL antibody will allow visualization of 100 ng/lane of recombinant human IL-8.
Application Notes For ELISA: Use at an assay dependent dilution.
