Product Profile
Product Name EDA antibody, N-term
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Product description Rabbit polyclonal to EDA (N-term)The protein encoded by this gene is a type II membrane protein that can be cleaved by furin to produce a secreted form. The encoded protein, which belongs to the tumor necrosis factor family, acts as a homotrimer and may be involved in cell-cell signaling during the development of ectodermal organs. Defects in this gene are a cause of ectodermal dysplasia, anhidrotic, which is also known as X-linked hypohidrotic ectodermal dysplasia. Several transcript variants encoding many different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq]
Immunogen KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 54~84 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human EDA.

Application

Application

Western blot analysis of anti-EDA Antibody (N-term) in Hela cell line lysates (35ug/lane). EDA(arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.

Application

Flow cytometric analysis of hela cells using EDA Antibody (N-term)(bottom histogram) compared to a negative control cell (top histogram). FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.

Application

Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human hepatocarcinoma tissue reacted with EDA antibody (N-term) , which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.
