Mouse monoclonal [MEM - E / 07] to HLA EHLA E belongs to the HLA class I heavy chain paralogues. This class I molecule is a heterodimer consisting of a heavy chain and a light chain (beta-2 microglobulin). The heavy chain is anchored in the membrane. HLA E binds a restricted subset of peptides derived from the leader peptides of other class I molecules.
Immunogen
Bacterially expressed recombinant HLA-E refolded with beta2-microglobulin and peptide.

Tissue Specificity
The antibody recognized native surface-expressed HLA E, but not denaturated heavy chain of HLA E. The published results revealed that the antibody cross-reacts with some classical MHC Class I molecules: HLA B7 (strongly), HLA B8 (moderately), HLA B27, HLA-B44 (weakly).
Cellular Localization
Type I membrane protein.

Application
Immunohistochemistry staining of human spleen (paraffin sections) with anti-HLA-E
