Product Profile
Product Name IFN alpha antibody [144BS]
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Product description Mouse monoclonal [144BS] to IFN alphaA member of the type 1 IFN family of related proteins produced by leucocytes and fibroblasts. IFN alpha 1 has antiviral activities. Interferon stimulates the production of two enzymes: a protein kinase and an oligoadenylate synthetase.
Immunogen Recombinant full length protein (Human).
Key Feature
Clonality Monoclonal
Isotype IgG1
Clone Number 144BS
Host Species Mouse
Tested Applications ELISAFACSIP
ELISA: Use at an assay dependent dilution. IP: Use at an assay dependent dilution. FACS: Use at an assay dependent dilution. GTX13781 has been proven useful for the visualization and enumeration of natural IFN alpha producing cells that resemble type 2 dendritic cells (DC2) by a method described by Svenssonn et al. Upon stimulation of human mononuclear cells with influenza virus it was possible to readily detect these DC2 cells at 0.6% of the total MNC population. However, stimulation of MNC with LPS or SAC failed to give any positive staining IFN alpha cells. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
Species Reactivity Human
Concentration 1mg/ml (Please refer to the vial label for the specific concentration)
Purification Protein G
Target Information
Gene Synonyms IFL IFN alpha IFN IFNA1 IFNA13 IFNAP22 interferon alpha 1 Interferon alpha 1/13 precursor Interferon Alpha Interferon alpha D LeIF D
Target IFN alpha
Tissue Specificity binds to but does not neutralize the activity of human IFN alpha subtypes -B, -C, -D and -F or several IFNa B/D, D/B hybrids.
