Product Profile
Product Name IRF3 antibody
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Product description Mouse monoclonal antibody [2G3] to IRF3Mediates interferon-stimulated response element (ISRE) promoter activation. Functions as a molecular switch for antiviral activity. DsRNA generated during the course of an viral infection leads to IRF3 phosphorylation on the C-terminal serine/threonine cluster. This induces a conformational change, leading to its dimerization, nuclear localization and association with CREB binding protein (CREBBP) to form dsRNA-activated factor 1 (DRAF1), a complex which activates the transcription of genes under the control of ISRE. The complex binds to the IE and PRDIII regions on the IFN-alpha and IFN-beta promoters respectively. IRF-3 does not have any transcription activation domains.
Immunogen Protein expressed in 293T cell transfected with human IRF3 expression vector
Key Feature
Clonality Monoclonal
Isotype IgG2a
Clone Number 2G3
Host Species Mouse
Tested Applications ICC/IFIHCIHC-PWB
Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the end user.:
Species Reactivity Human
Concentration 1mg/ml
Purification Affinity purified
Target Information
Target IRF3
Tissue Specificity is specific for human IRF3.
Cellular Localization Shuttles between cytoplasmic and nuclear compartments, with export being the prevailing effect. When activated, IRF3 interaction with CREBBP prevents its export to the cytoplasm.
Application

Application

Immunohistochemical staining of paraffin-embedded Adenocarcinoma of breast tissue using anti-IRF3 mouse monoclonal antibody. ( Dilution 1:50)

Application

Immunohistochemical staining of paraffin-embedded Adenocarcinoma of colon tissue using anti-IRF3mouse monoclonal antibody. ( Dilution 1:50)

Application

Immunohistochemical staining of paraffin-embedded breast tissue using anti-IRF3 mouse monoclonal antibody. ( Dilution 1:50)

Application

Anti-IRF3 mouse monoclonal antibody immunofluorescent staining of COS7 cells transiently transfected with IRF3

Application

Immunohistochemical staining of paraffin-embedded colon tissue using anti-IRF3mouse monoclonal antibody. ( Dilution 1:50)

Application

HEK293T cells were transfected with the pCMV6-ENTRY control (Left lane) or pCMV6-ENTRY IRF3 (Right lane) cDNA for 48 hrs and lysed. Equivalent amounts of cell lysates (5 ug per lane) were separated by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with anti-IRF3.
