Western Blot: LANA2 Antibody (CM-A807) [ - Detection of LANA2 in infected lysates (30 ug) using 2 ug/ml of ECL detection 1.5 minutes. Lane 1: BCBL-1 (KSHV+) Lane 2: BC-1 (KSHV+/EBV+) Lane 3: BCP-1 (KSHV+)
Mouse monoclonal antibody [CM-A807] to human LANA2LANA2 (latency-associated nuclear antigen) is an inhibitor of p53-induced transcription in reporter assays and may be an apoptosis antagonist. It is a nuclear protein associated with Kaposi's sarcoma-associated herpes virus (KSHV), or human herpes virus 8. It is found in abundance in the nuclei of cultured cells from KSHV-infected hematopoietic tissues, such as PEL (primary effusion lymphoma) and CD (multicentric Castleman's disease). It does not appear to be expressed in KS (Kaposi's sarcoma) lesions.

Tested Applications
ICC/IFIPWB
By Western blot, this antibody recognizes a band at ~66-70 kDa. Other bands may be seen at ~40-48 and ~28 kDa. These bands are believed to be degradation products. This antibody does not recognize endogenous LANA2 protein. This antibody may also be used for immunoprecipitation and immunofluorescence (only murine tested).Suggested working dilutions: *Western Blot: 2-4 ug/ml (ECL)Immunofluorescence: this lot not determinedImmunoprecipitation: this lot not determined*The investigator should determine the optimal working dilution for a specific application.:
