Product Profile
Product Name p14ARF antibody
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Product description Rabbit polyclonal to p14ARFp14 ARF arrests the cell cycle in a p53-dependent manner. p14 ARF binds to mdm 2 and promotes the rapid degradation of mdm 2 protein required for mdm 2 modification and concurrent p53 stabilization and accumulation. This interaction is mediated by the exon 1 beta-encoded N-terminal domain of p14 ARF and a C-terminal region of mdm 2. Deletion of the ARF-INK 4a locus simultaneously impairs both the INK 4a-cyclin D/cdk 4-RB and the ARF-mdm 2-p53 pathways.
Immunogen Synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of Human p14ARF
Key Feature
Clonality Polyclonal
Isotype IgG
Host Species Rabbit
Tested Applications ICC/IFIHCIHC-FIHC-PWB
Immunohistochemistry (formalin fixed paraffin embedded / frozen sections): use at a dliution of 1/50 - 1/100 in an ABC method. Immunofluorescence: assay dependent. Western blot: assay dependent. Optimal dilutions / concentrations should be determined by the end user. Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigen unmasking with 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 prior to immunostaining. In Western blot, this antibody detects a band of 14 kD, which corresponds to the predicted molecular weight of p14 ARF.:
