Rabbit polyclonal to PAR4 predilutedProstate apoptosis response 4 (Par4) is a 38kD protein originally identified as the product of a gene that is upregulated in prostate tumor cells undergoing apoptosis. It is a leucine zipper and death domain containing protein whose levels increase in neurons undergoing apoptosis as a result of trophic factor withdrawal or exposure to oxidative and metabolic insults. Par4 levels are reported to be increased in their lumbar spinal cord specimens further suggesting a role in neuronal degeneration.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide (unfortunately, the amino acid sequence is considered to be commercially sensitive) C-terminal (Human).

Tested Applications
IHC-P
IHC-P: Use at an assay dependent dilution. Staining of formalin fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10 min followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.:
