Product Profile
Product Name APRIL Antibody
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Antigen Alias APRIL, CD256, TALL2, ZTNF2, TALL-2, TRDL-1, UNQ383/PRO715, APRIL, Tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 13, A proliferation-inducing ligand
Product description APRIL (A PRoliferation Inducing Ligand) a member of the TNF superfamily, is expressed in monocytes, macrophages, certain transformed cell lines, certain cancers of colon, and lymphoid tissues. Members of the TNF superfamily regulate immune responses and induce apoptosis.
Immunogen Produced from sera of rabbits pre-immunized with highly pure (>98%) recombinant hAPRIL (human APRIL).
Key Feature
Clonality Polyclonal
Host Species Rabbit
Tested Applications ELISAWB
ELISA: To detect hAPRIL by direct ELISA (using 100 μL/well antibody solution) a concentration of at least 0.5 μg/mL of this antibody is required. This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, allows the detection of 0.2 - 0.4 ng/well of recombinant hAPRIL. Western Blot: To detect hAPRIL by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1 - 0.2 μg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant hAPRIL is 1.5 - 3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.:

Application

Application

This antibody stained formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections of human carcinoid tissue. The recommended concentration is 0.25 ug/ml with an overnight incubation at 4˚C. An HRP-labeled polymer detection system was used with a DAB chromogen. Heat induced antigen retrieval with a pH 6.0 Sodium Citrate buffer is recommended. Optimal concentrations and conditions may vary.
Positive Control 1) Cat. No. 1204 - K562 Cell Lysate
