The protein encoded by this gene is a low affinity
receptor for the Fc region of immunoglobulin gamma complexes. The
encoded protein is involved in the phagocytosis of immune complexes
and in the regulation of antibody production by B-cells. Variations
in this gene may increase susceptibilty to systemic lupus
erythematosus (SLE). Several transcript variants encoding different
isoforms have been found for this gene.1) Prokopec, K.E., et al. Clin. Immunol. 137(3):322-329(2010)
Immunogen
This FCGR2B antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 250-279 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human FCGR2B.
Western blot analysis in HL-60 cell line lysates (35ug/lane).
Application Notes
For WB starting dilution is: 1:1000
