KIRREL (NEPH1) is a member of the nephrin-like protein family, which includes NEPH2 and NEPH3. The cytoplasmic domains of these proteins interact with the C terminus of podocin (NPHS2), and the genes are expressed in kidney podocytes, cells involved in ensuring size- and charge-selective ultrafiltration. Storage Instructions
For short periods of storage (days) store at 4˚C. For longer periods of storage, store KIRREL antibody at -20˚C. As with any antibody avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.
Storage Buffer
Antibody is lyophilized in PBS buffer with 2% sucrose. Add 50 μL of distilled water. Final antibody concentration is 1 mg/mL.
