The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the small
GTPase superfamily, Rab family. The protein is membrane-bound and
may be involved in protein transport and small GTPase mediated
signal transduction. Mutations in this gene are associated with
Griscelli syndrome type 2. Alternative splicing occurs at this
locus and four transcript variants encoding the same protein have
been identified.1) Ohbayashi, N., et al. Pigment Cell Melanoma Res 23(3):365-374(2010)
Immunogen
This RAB27A antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 136-164 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human RAB27A.
Western blot analysis of lysate from K562 cell line, using RAB27A Antibody at 1:1000.
