Target Information
Gene Symbol ATP4B
Gene Synonyms ATP6B
Gene Full Name ATPase H+/K+ transporting subunit beta
Gene Summary The protein encoded by this gene belongs to a family of P-type cation-transporting ATPases. The gastric H+, K+-ATPase is a heterodimer consisting of a high molecular weight catalytic alpha subunit and a smaller but heavily glycosylated beta subunit. This enzyme is a proton pump that catalyzes the hydrolysis of ATP coupled with the exchange of H(+) and K(+) ions across the plasma membrane. It is also responsible for gastric acid secretion. This gene encodes the beta subunit of the gastric H+, K+-ATPase. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Molecular Weight(MW) 33kDa
Application

WB

Untransfected: Control 293 Lysate (A) and Human H+/K+ATPase β Transfection: Western blot analysis of H+/K+ATPase β expression in HEK293 (B) whole cell lysate.

IHC

Immunoperoxidase staining of human gastric tissue fixed in formalin and embedded in paraffin using H+/K+ATPase β antibody reveals cytoplasmic staining of gastric parietal lobe cells.

IHC

HnRNP A1 antibody: Immunoperoxidase staining was performed on formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human ovarian tissue, displaying nuclear staining of follicular cells, ovarian stromal cells, and oocytes.

ICC/IF

Immunofluorescence staining of methanol fixed HeLa cells revealed membrane localization.
