Western blot analysis of Decorin on different lysates with Rabbit anti-Decorin antibody at 1/5,000 dilution. Lane 1: Mouse colon tissue lysate (40 µg/Lane), Lane 2: Rat kidney tissue lysate (40 µg/Lane), Lane 3: Rat colon tissue lysate (40 µg/Lane), Lane 4: Rat placenta tissue lysate (40 µg/Lane), Exposure time: 59 seconds; 4-20% SDS-PAGE gel. Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% NFDM/TBST for 1 hour at room temperature. The primary antibody at 1/5,000 dilution was used in primary antibody dilution at 4℃ overnight. Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG - HRP Secondary Antibody at 1/50,000 dilution was used for 1 hour at room temperature.IHC

The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9.0) for 20 minutes. | Gene Summary | This gene encodes a member of the small leucine-rich proteoglycan family of proteins. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants, at least one of which encodes a preproprotein that is proteolytically processed to generate the mature protein. This protein plays a role in collagen fibril assembly. Binding of this protein to multiple cell surface receptors mediates its role in tumor suppression, including a stimulatory effect on autophagy and inflammation and an inhibitory effect on angiogenesis and tumorigenesis. This gene and the related gene biglycan are thought to be the result of a gene duplication. Mutations in this gene are associated with congenital stromal corneal dystrophy in human patients.
