Gene Full Name C-type lectin domain containing 7A
Gene Summary This gene encodes a member of the C-type lectin/C-type lectin-like domain (CTL/CTLD) superfamily. The encoded glycoprotein is a small type II membrane receptor with an extracellular C-type lectin-like domain fold and a cytoplasmic domain with an immunoreceptor tyrosine-based activation motif. It functions as a pattern-recognition receptor that recognizes a variety of beta-1,3-linked and beta-1,6-linked glucans from fungi and plants, and in this way plays a role in innate immune response. Alternate transcriptional splice variants, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized. This gene is closely linked to other CTL/CTLD superfamily members on chromosome 12p13 in the natural killer gene complex region. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Application

WB

Western blot analysis of CLEC7A using anti-CLEC7A antibody. The sample well of each lane was loaded with 30 ug of sample under reducing conditions. Lane 1: mouse spleen tissue lysates, Lane 2: mouse thymus tissue lysates. After electrophoresis, proteins were transferred to a membrane. Then the membrane was incubated with rabbit anti-CLEC7A antigen affinity purified polyclonal antibody at a dilution of 1:1000 and probed with a goat anti-rabbit IgG-HRP secondary antibody. The signal is developed using ECL Plus Western Blotting Substrate.

IHC

IHC analysis of CLEC7A using anti-CLEC7A antibody. CLEC7A was detected in a paraffin-embedded section of mouse spleen tissue. The tissue section was incubated with rabbit anti-CLEC7A Antibody at a dilution of 1:200 and developed using HRP Conjugated Rabbit IgG Super Vision Assay Kit with DAB as the chromogen.

FC

Flow Cytometry analysis of ANA-1 cells using anti-CLEC7A antibody. Overlay histogram showing ANA-1 cells stained with anti-CLEC7A antibody (Blue line). The cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde and blocked with 10% normal goat serum. And then incubated with rabbit anti-CLEC7A Antibody at 1:100 dilution for 30 min at 20°C. Fluoro488 conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG was used as secondary antibody at 1:100 dilution for 30 minutes at 20°C. Isotype control antibody (Green line) was rabbit IgG at 1:100 dilution used under the same conditions. Unlabelled sample without incubation with primary antibody and secondary antibody (Red line) was used as a blank control.
