Function Calcium-binding chaperone that promotes folding, oligomeric assembly and quality control in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) via the calreticulin/calnexin cycle. This lectin interacts transiently with almost all of the monoglucosylated glycoproteins that are synthesized in the ER. Interacts with the DNA-binding domain of NR3C1 and mediates its nuclear export Involved in maternal gene expression regulation. May participate in oocyte maturation via the regulation of calcium homeostasis (By similarity)
Tissue Specificity This CALR antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 284~313 amino acids from the Center region of human CALR.
Cellular Localization Endoplasmic reticulum lumen. Cytoplasm, cytosol. Secreted, extracellular space, extracellular matrix. Cell surface. Sarcoplasmic reticulum lumen (By similarity). Note=Also found in cell surface (T cells), cytosol and extracellular matrix Associated with the lytic granules in the cytolytic T-lymphocytes

Application

Application

Western blot analysis of CALR Antibody (Center) in Ramos, Jurkat, HepG2, NIH-3T3 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). CALR (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.

Application

Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human colon carcinoma reacted with CALR Antibody (Center), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.

Application

CALR Antibody (Center) flow cytometric analysis of WiDr cells (right histogram) compared to a negative control cell (left histogram).FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.
Application Notes WB:1:100~500 IHC
