Function CaM-kinase II (CAMK2) is a prominent kinase in the central nervous system that may function in long-term potentiation and neurotransmitter release. Member of the NMDAR signaling complex in excitatory synapses it may regulate NMDAR-dependent potentiation of the AMPAR and synaptic plasticity (By similarity)
Tissue Specificity This CAMK2A antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 361~391 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human CAMK2A.
Cellular Localization Cell junction, synapse, presynaptic cell membrane (By similarity). Cell junction, synapse (By similarity) Note=Postsynaptic lipid rafts (By similarity)

Application

Application

Western blot analysis of anti-CAMK2A Antibody (C-term E370) in 293 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). CAMK2A(arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.

Application

Western blot analysis of CAMK2A (arrow) using rabbit polyclonal CAMK2A Antibody (C-term E370) . 293 cell lysates (2 ug/lane) either nontransfected (Lane 1) or transiently transfected with the CAMK2A gene (Lane 2).

Application

Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human brain tissue reacted with CAMK2A (C-term E370) , which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.
Application Notes WB:1:100~500 IHC
