Function NADPH-dependent reductase with broad substrate specificity. Catalyzes the reduction of a wide variety of carbonyl compounds including quinones, prostaglandins, menadione, plus various xenobiotics. Catalyzes the reduction of the antitumor anthracyclines doxorubicin and daunorubicin to the cardiotoxic compounds doxorubicinol and daunorubicinol. Can convert prostaglandin E2 to prostaglandin F2-alpha. Can bind glutathione, which explains its higher affinity for glutathione-conjugated substrates. Catalyzes the reduction of S-nitrosoglutathione
Tissue Specificity This CBR1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 248~277 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human CBR1.
Cellular Localization Cytoplasm.

Application

Application

Western blot analysis of anti-CBR1 Pab in 293 cell line lysates (35ug/lane).CBR1 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab (1:60 dilution).

Application

Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human breast carcinoma tissue reacted with CBR1 antibody (C-term) , which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.
Application Notes WB:1:50~100 IHC
