Product Profile
Product Name alpha Tubulin antibody [TU-01]
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Product description Mouse monoclonal [TU - 01] to alpha TubulinTubulin is the major building block of microtubules. This intracellular cylindrical filamentous structure is present in almost all eukaryotic cells. Microtubules function as structural and mobile elements in mitosis, intracellular transport, flagellar movement and in the cytoskeleton. Tubulin is a heterodimer which consists of alpha tubulin and beta tubulin.
Immunogen Fraction of tubulin purified from pig brain by two cycles of polymerization-depolymerization.
Key Feature
Clonality Monoclonal
Isotype IgG1
Clone Number TU-01
Host Species Mouse
Tested Applications ELISAICC/IFIHC-PIPWB
ELISA: Use at an assay dependant dilution. ICC: Use at a dilution of 1/100. For ICC, we recommend not only fixing but also permeabilizing the cells. IF: Use at an assay dependant dilution. IP: Use at an assay dependant dilution. GTX27749 (TU-16)is better for IP application. WB: Use at an assay dependant dilution. Detects a band of approximately 55 kDa. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
Species Reactivity Mammalian species
Concentration 1mg/ml
Purification Affinity purified
Target Information
Gene Synonyms TUBA1 Tubulin alpha 1 chain Tubulin alpha
Target alpha Tubulin
Cellular Localization Major constituent of microtubules.
Application

Application

Immunofluorescence staining of 3T3 mouse embryonal fibroblast cell line using anti-alpha-tubulin ( green) and anti-Vimentin ( red). Nucleus is stained with DAPI (blue)

Application

ICC/IF analysis of 3T3 cells using alpha Tubulin antibody [TU-01] (green) and DAPI (blue).

Application

IP of alpha Tubulin from HeLa and Raji lysates by alpha Tubulin antibody [TU-16] was performed. The precipitated protein was detected by alpha Tubulin antibody [TU-01].

Application

Use of anti-alpha-tubulin antibody  a loading control (A) in an Western blot experiment revealing the staining pattern of various cell lysates by a newly developed monoclonal antibody (B)

Application

Immunofluorescence staining of HeLa human cervix carcinoma cell line using anti-alpha-tubulin ( red). Nucleus is stained with DAPI (blue).
Application Notes ELISA: Use at an assay dependant dilution. ICC: Use at a dilution of 1/100. For ICC, we recommend not only fixing but also permeabilizing the cells.
