Mouse monoclonal [MO - 1.1] to CAKCDK7 (CAK) is cdk activating kinase associated with the 34 kDa cyclin H protein, and a36kDa unnamed protein. CDK7 / cyclin H is an integral part of the general transcription factor complex TFIIH; hence is important for activated transcription of polymerase II-dependent promoters and DNA repair. CDK7 is nuclear at all stages of the cell division cycle, except for mitosis indicating that its activity is required for key CDKs operating indistinct cell cycle phases.
Immunogen
A recombinant 221 amino acid fragment from the C-terminal of human CAK.

Clonality
Monoclonal
Isotype
IgG2
Clone Number

Tested Applications
FACSICC/IFIHC-FIPWB
Kinase assay: assy dependentFlow cytometry: assay dependent. Immunofluorescence: assay dependent. Immunoprecipitation (with protein A): use at a concentration of 2μg/mg protein lysate (native and denatured). Western blot: use at a concentration of 1 - 2μg/ml for 2 hours at RT. Immunohistochemistry (frozen sections): assay dependent. Optimal dilutions / concentrations should be determined by the end user. By Western blot, this antibody detects a band of ~ 40 kDa, which corresponds to the predicted molecular weight of CAK.:
