Mouse monoclonal [9E10] to c-MycMyc (cMyc) is a protooncogene, which is overexpressed in a wide range of human cancers. When it is specifically-mutated, or overexpressed, it increases cell proliferation and functions as an oncogene. Myc gene encodes for a transcription factor that regulates expression of a great number of genes through binding on Enhancer Box sequences (E-boxes) and recruiting histone acetyltransferases (HATs). Myc belongs to Myc family of transcription factors, which also includes N-Myc and L-Myc genes. Myc-family transcription factors contain the bHLH/LZ (basic Helix-Loop-Helix Leucine Zipper) domain.

Target Information
Gene Synonyms
c Myc cMyc
Target
c-Myc
Tissue Specificity
detects the 62kDa c-myc gene product, which is involved in the regulation of the cell cycle and cell growth. p62c-myc is primarily located to the cell nucleus, but has also been shown to localised to the cytoplasm in several cell lines. Overexpression of c-myc has been reported in a wide variety of human cancers.
Application
Application
WB analysis of HEK293 cell lysate using c-Myc antibody [9E10].
Application
ELISA analysis of c-myc tagged recombinant protein using c-Myc antibody [9E10].
Positive Control
